Oh no, my poor little cherry tree has been destroyed by the rotten cherry slug. My tree has been devastated by them. They are disgusting looking bastards, slimy and gooey, and erky. Ok, I couldn’t stand looking at them anymore and I had to save my defenseless tree. There are a few ways to get rid of a cherry slug.
1. squash them all. make sure you check under each leaf as that is where they are most likely to be.
2. spray a mixture of 1 teaspoon of eucalyptus oil, 1 teaspoon of dish washing liquid to 1/2 liter of water and spray all over the cherry tree.
3. you can get heavy duty chemicals – but I would rather not use poison in my garden, and the natural way is better for you and for the environment.
Once you have completed which ever method works for you the tree will need a good feed of manure to help it recover from the torment of those revolting creatures.
Good Luck and eeekkkk!
