Potatoes, I love ’em! And I love to grow them too! Did you know you can get potato plants from the potatoes you eat?!
The thing is, you have to cut out their eyes! Ewwwww! Actually, it’s not so bad. Potato eyes are the indents on the skin where the potato forms small growths that you would normally pop in the compost. Get a little bit of the potato flesh with the eye and plant into the garden. This means you get to eat a potato while growing a new potato, all at the same time!! Isn’t nature fab!
