Ok, maybe this is one of the cheekiest Pea Recipes ever… but I enjoy it so much I couldn’t resist the temptation to share.
Cheekiest Pea Recipe EVER!
Grow – Peas
Pick – Peas
Pod – Peas in your garden
Eat – Enjoy
Eating raw food straight from your garden is simply the best.
Peas are really easy to grow, and here are a few tips for growing delicious green peas:
1. Pea seeds are easy to rot if it’s too wet when first planted, so it’s best not to water them before they germinate.
2. To avoid disease it’s best not to plant peas where a bean crop has been before.
3. When your pea crop has finished, just dig the plant into the ground, perfect for feeding your delicious soil nitrogen.
4. Peas need to be supported as they grow, so use some stakes with some rope/chicken wire to let them climb up.
5. Their pods are edible too.
I remember as a kid mum picking vegetables from the garden and then dashing towards us with a hand full of peas, “Quick! Eat the peas, the quicker you do, the more nutrients you’ll get!” Bless!
Sweet and fun, aren’t we all! If only they were naughty too… I love a good pea!
